Pozitive and negative selection of mitochondrial genome
Svoboda, Matěj ; Škutková, Helena (referee) ; Maděránková, Denisa (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with positive and negative selection detection in mitochondrial genome of invertebrates and vertebrates. The component of this paper is to interpret the theory of evolution and evolution models. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to formulate the algorithm package for a positive and negative selection detection in a program environment, RStudio. Consequently, outcomes of algorithm are compared to values acquired by tool PAML.
Pozitive and negative selection of mitochondrial genome
Svoboda, Matěj ; Kupková, Kristýna (referee) ; Maděránková, Denisa (advisor)
The bachelor thesis engages with problematics of positive and negative selection of mitochondrial genome. Thesis is divided into two parts. First part grapples with theory and explanation of fundamental definitions, in particular understates mitochondrial genome, nucleotide mutation, positive and negative selection and furthermore evolution models. Second part focuses on processing mitochondrial DNA practically and on establishing functions in programming environment R. The emphasis is foremost on gene sequencing alignment and exploring substitutions. Consequently, obtained outcomes are contrasted with PAML and KaKs Calculator programme outcomes.

Analýza hlavních vlivů působících na tržní produkci masných krav velkého tělesného rámce
Pešová, Nikola
This thesis is focused on the analysis of the main factors influencing beef cattle of huge body frame. Main observed factors were the number of cows kept, the number of born calves, mortality and adverse selection. The herd turnover was observed in 2013 on the eco-farm Ost West Agro, s.r.o. in Detrichov nad Bystrici. Further, the takings for carcass and lot animals in different weight categories were estimated. The thesis also includes cost summary of animal staying on pasture and in winter site. After evaluating the factors, it was discovered that the biggest commercial revenues for beef cattle business production represents the born calve. Estimation for sale of carcass and lot heads was in total 1 720 148,80 CZK. The biggest part comprised discarded cows, in total 874 073 CZK. The second biggest part comprised the lot bulls and heifers with weight under the 240 kg, in total 378 681,60 CZK. The next item represented lot calves, for those the business took in 257 777,50 CZK and the lowest income was for heifers from 1 to 2 years, in total 209 615,70 CZK. The difference discovered between the amount of costs in winter and summer time was at least three times higher.
